Photoshop CS2 vs CS3 - MacBook Speed Test

I just got my hands on the third incarnation of Adobe’s Creative Suit, and as all of us Intel Mac users know, this finally means that we can work in Photoshop without having to emulate it through Rosetta. This is because the program is in Universal Binary, and even though I have no clue what that means (I do know that it has something to do with the difference between the Power PC and Intel processor architecture though), I decided to do a small test to compare the start-up times of Photshop CS2 and CS3.

I even went as far as to record them with my camera, so if you want to see the comparison, just click the read more link.

10 reasons why I’m glad I switched to a Mac!

It’s been a while since I posted something in the Apple category, but that doesn’t mean my love for Apple has diminished! Quite contrary infact, it has only grown with time, and therefore I thought it was time for me to do this thing that every self-respecting switcher with a blog does - post a list of all things cool about owning a Mac.

As you might or might not know, I took the plunge and switched to the white side for the very first time back in October. A few months have now passed, and I …

Macworld Keynote Impressions and Disappointments

Steve has finished his keynote, and I can’t wait to get a chance to see it myself once it becomes available to the public. More importantly though are the actualy announcements that came from our favourite fruit company, as Forrest Gump so inappropriately labelled it.

When I was reading the live updates from the keynote I almost exploded!

However, after sitting back and letting everything sink in, a slightly dissatisfied feeling has started to get the best of me. How can I make such outrageous claims you may ask? The answer lies in my whereabouts. This was supposed …

Macworld Expo 2007 - iPhone rumours and more

Tomorrow is a big day for all Apple enthusiasts, as Steve Jobs is holding his annual Keynote presentation at the opening of this year’s Macworld Expo. Ever since last year’s expo there have been endless rumors about what we will possibly get to see. Personally, I’m even more excited about the prospect of seeing the man himself giving another stunning presentation. But surely I’ll blog about whatever big news pops up after the expo is over.

This year’s hottest rumour is of course, as anyone who’ve followed the Apple scene over the past year, the iPhone, as …

Why iPods aren’t for all

iPod

I like my iPod. Some might even go as far as to say that I love my iPod, and that just might be the truth. After I got my 1st generation iPod Nano 4GB, my life has taken a turn for the better. Sounds drastic? Sure, but it’s true nevertheless. Today I can’t imagine what sitting on the bus, trying to sleep, or driving would be like without a reasonable size of my music library easily available in my pocket would be like. Though I’m almost certain it would be less enjoyable!

I’ve …
