Software? I'd rather not
Bookmarked Nobody wants to use any software by Jane Ruffino.
These things that force us to use our brains for purposes other than growing tomatoes or making friends with neighborhood dogs. The only reason we don’t throw our phones into the sea is that this is how we talk to our friends. We want to be creative, express ourselves, and connect with other humans. We do not want to use software.
Read the entire piece, because there's an absolutely, 100 percent spot analogy between traffic and software that you mustn't miss. I enjoyed driving all my life, until I migrated from the rural countryside and had to drive in actual traffic. Software is the road, and too much of it is bogged down by never ending traffic. I don't enjoy it. I don't want to try and enjoy it. I just want to get done with it and grow tomatoes.
