The loneliness of blogging
V.H. Belvadi in Looking beyond collective blogging:
It is perhaps because I have always seen writing, and by extension blogging, as a solitary hobby that I never noticed any loneliness shadowing it. On the contrary, because I have always seen my website as an incredibly personal space—one that, to a great extent, stands for who I am—I have never entertained the idea of anyone sharing this with me.
I could never imagine making my personal site a shared endeavour, either. It's as personal to me as my home.
That said, I certainly wouldn't mind being part of a writing collective sharing a common blog. Think it would be a very interesting experience.
