Small reading log update
After spending some time on the workout log, I thought it was time to give some TLC to the reading log.
The result?
A tiny update where I've added permalinks to each book. This makes it possible to link directly to each book in the log. Say I (for some reason) wanted to link the the first Mistborn book, The Final Empire, I can now do that.
As the IDs are generated based on title and author, the deep links work regardless of whether the book moves around in the document structure. So I can share a link to Pippi Goes on Board, which, as I'm currently reading it with the four year old, sits in in the "reading" section. When we finish the book, and it moves to 2025 (because we're up the chapter of Pippi's going away party :( and we'll soon finish it) the link will still work.
I thought about lots of other things I could do with the reading log. In the end, I discarded all of them. The reading log is feature complete at this point. Saying it feels good!
Postscript: I'm sure I'll think of five new things I want to add to the reading log immediately after posting this. And that's fine, too.
Postscript 2: Just remember that I have feeds for both the workout log and the reading log on my to do list. So much for feature complete!
