My kind of people

I like people who dedicate themselves.

People who dive head first into something for no other reason than that they found it interesting, and then don’t come out of the bubble until years later because they got so immersed.

I like people who can talk with passion for hours about something seemingly mundane.

People who don’t care about getting paid or getting laid, they just do it because it’s so damn interesting to them that the thought of not spending all their time thinking about the thing doesn’t even enter their minds.

I like people who don’t say enough is enough.

People who, when everyone reasonable would take a good hard look at themselves and admit that perhaps it’s time, don’t even think to stop because what the hell else are they going to do if not this.

I like people who don’t regret.

People who understand that what’s done is done and all that remains is to do the best of all that remains and anything else is to give undue power to what was and will never be again.

I like people who don’t even think about what other people think.

Because other people don’t even try to comprehend the magic of this tiny little world they’ve discovered, so what does it matter if they think that it doesn’t make sense and looks like a waste of time.

I like people who do it for no other reason than why not.

Because they’ve realised that the only meaning in life is to follow your own heart and that measuring anything by anyone else’s score card is wasting what little precious time they’ve been afforded.

I like people who dare to fail.

Because they’ve figured out that the only true losers are the people who sit out the game, and instead spend their days waiting for the perfect opportunity that will never ever come along.

I like people who are passionate.

Because they know what a fucking waste it would be if they walked around in a gray and dreary world without ups and downs and ugly thing and beautiful humans and colour and life.

Those are my kind of people. And, if you’re reading this, you’re probably it.
