I publish three different types of writing on this website. Start exploring the content, or scroll down to learn more about why I write and how I choose what I write about.
Posts
When I write longer pieces, I publish these as posts. The bar isn’t terribly high. Everything longer than a couple of paragraphs will be a post.

Notes
Short form content is published as a note. Instead of relying on closed platforms like Twitter, Threads or whatever, I wanted a place on my own site to host and publish content of this nature. Enter content type notes.
- Peruse all notes in the notes archive.

Links
Human curation is the lifeblood of the open web. The most interesting content I view is always recommended by another human. I share my own favourite links to pay it forward.

Why I write
The way we think shapes how we view the world. Unfortunately, my head is filled with half baked thoughts and incomplete reasoning.
Result? A disconnect between how I see the world and how it works. An inevitable disconnect, yes. But exasperated by a worldview based on incoherent thinking.
I believe we can minimise this disconnect.
By expressing our thoughts in writing, we force clarity. When we write, a vague notion doesn’t cut it. What made sense in our heads won’t hold up to the scrutiny of being put on a page.
Good writing highlights bad thinking.
To write is to drag your thoughts out of your head and into the real world, and to see if they make sense. Sometimes they don’t, and can be discarded. Other times, they contain a strand of truth. One that you can pull on while writing, and which will lead you to something that makes sense.
Only by writing can we discover the true nature of our thoughts. And make sure that our worldview is in line with our beliefs.
That is why I write.
What I write
This is my personal website. My online home. And that’s how I treat it.
Just like in my physical home, I want to be comfortable enough in my digital home to explore my curiosity. To pull on interesting threads, unwind and examine them to see where they lead.
In doing so, I hope to become humbler and more informed. To create a stronger foundation for learning and doing new things. And to unearth my next passion.
The result of this approach is that I will write about an eclectic mix of topics. It’s the nature of my approach. If you’re captivated by one of my posts on a particular subject, I unfortunately can’t promise that I’ll publish further pieces of a similar kind.
This emanates from a single, core tenet that is the foundation for this website:
I write for me. Or, in the words of Morgan Housel, it is selfish writing.
Interests
While I can’t make any promises about what I will write about, my general interests will provide a pointer to what you can expect in the form of my current interests. In no particular order, here are some of the things I spend my time on:
Technology, like:
- E-commerce
- Marketing technology
- Artificial intelligence
- The open web
Health and fitness, like:
- Running (I even made a dedicated website about that)
- Strength training
- The intersect between physical activity and mental health
- Productivity
- Self-improvement
Reading and writing, like:
- Fantasy (I love fantasy books!)
- Biographies
- Beautiful writing
- Effective writing
Craftsmanship, exemplified by things like:
- Guitars
- Watches
