Wow! This was a fantastic write-up of how Brian Eno went about creating the ‘first’ work of ambient music. Seeing it written down like this, it seems a lot less mysterious than I would've thought.
End of the day, it seems to me that Eno was a guy who fucked around, and found out. And boy am I glad he did, because Music For Airports is still my number one choice for when I'm working and writing.
