Marking stuff as spam

I don’t get why people subscribe to a service or newsletter and then mark those emails as spam. You asked for the email! I know everyone is forgetful, but marking as spam doesn’t help anyone

This happened more than you’d imagine when I ran a small newsletter over at Run161. It’s a really damaging way of “unsubscribing” from a mailing list that really doesn’t help anyone.
