Sorry about that

But we lost internet connection at our appartment, so at least I have an excuse for not posting anything new in my blog the past few days. Right now I’m at the university with a friend, as I needed to download some stuff for my computer, which I’ll get to in a moment. Now, to those who were expecting another cool post in the Internet & Technology category, sorry to disappoint you, but this is just a little update in the Me and the Blog category about what’s going on with me.

Where to start, where to start? Well, first things first, I guess. My collarbone is healing nicely, which means that I’ll be going back to work starting next week. Hooray! Well, seeing how I’m a substitute worker in kindergardens, I’ll be going back to work if someone is in need of me. But I’m ready to work at least, and that’s something.

But now to the exciting part: I just bought myself a book from SitePoint — Build Your Own Database Driven Website Using MySQL and PHP (long title, I know). I’ve been wanting to get into PHP and MySQL for a while now, and I was told that this was the perfect way of starting out. So now in the next few weeks I’m hoping that I’ll create my first dynamic self-coded website. Most likely it will end up being for my football (soccer) team, but I’ll definately go beyond that once I have the basics in order.

So what I’m actually here at Uni to download is the software I need to turn my computer into a testing ground for this, so that I can run it as a server. Sounds like fun, no? Anyways, I’ll keep you all updated on how this goes, and perhaps sometime in the future I’ll be making my own plugins for the blog, which is running on WordPress. Have a good one!
