Reccomended Reading - March 7th
This post marks the first in a brand new category of the blog entitled “Reccomended Reading”. The concept is really simple. I pick up some of the articles that I’ve read the past few days and give some link-love to the authors. I plan to make this a weekly feature, but I haven’t set a firm day for it yet. Most likely it will be in the weekend after this, seeing how I’m usually pretty busy then, and these posts don’t require all that much time to do.
Without further ado however, I present to you today’s list of reccomended reading:
Targeting the Right Customers - Forums Matt over at Net Business Blog just posted this article on how you should go about to maximize your success rate when searching for freelance work as a designer in different forums. A must read for anyone who’s ever done that, as it will help you realize what you did wrong, or at least it did that for me!
Bloggers Face-Off: John Chow vs. Matt Coddington This post, even though at one of my other favourite blogs for the moment, also features Matt from Net Business Blog. It’s an interesting concept Daniel over at Daily Blog Tips came up with, where he interviews two bloggers and put them up against eachother. Readers decide the winners by voting!
Wired is going too far against Digg Stan wrote an interesting article over at franticindustries highlighting how Wired has recently run a host of negative stories against Digg, and how this conflicts with common sense and morals, seeing how Conde Nast, the owners of Wired, actually owns the biggest Digg competitor known as Reddit.
A Quickie Definition of Productivity An interesting read for all of those interested in the topic of productivity, which should be all of us, seeing how everyone of us can improve in that field. David Seah takes a personal look at what productivity actually means.
Bloggst “let’s get going” contest! I’m allowed to do a little blatant self-promotion, am I not? :) Anyways, this is the article about the contest we are currently running over at Bloggst. You should check it out if you haven’t already, at least if the idea of winning a 2 year Flickr Pro account, or perhaps a 1 year MyBlogLog Pro account is interesting to you!
That’s it for this round. Hope you liked the few articles I found for you. If you would like to reccomend any articles for the next batch, just visit the Contact page, where you can find out how to get in touch.
Edit: I don’t know where I left my head tonight, but for some reason I thought the date was January 7th. Thankfully I caught myself though, and got it changed.
