Bad technology day
First out my TimeMachine backup failed for some reason. I did a reboot and tried again though, and it updated fine it seems. I should probably do a restore and see that it isn’t corrupted or anything, I think.
The next is a little more boring. For some reason I actually can’t access my other (music blog), Silent Sound Waves. No idea why (as my personal blog is hosted on the exact same account), but doing a traceroute simply returned “unknown host” for the domain. Weird thing is other people could access it just fine, as could I myself if I used my iPhone’s 3G connection. Probably just a glitch from my ISP, but I sent my host a support request to have them look at my DNS setup, just to verify that everything is looking like it should.
And I had a new post lined up for tonight as well. Oh well, guess I’ll just have to publish two tomorrow, because we’re really behind on our schedule to do at least four per week. But I have two posts pretty much all mapped out, and tomorrow we might be getting another writer on board, so I think we’ll make it this week as well.
And presto, it lives! Just checked, I can access the site again, but on my way to bed so I still won’t be able to finish up that post. No word from support whether they did any changes, but hey, as long as it works. Oh and also, come back around this neck of the woods (my personal blog) tomorrow, for an analysis on how SSW has been progressing for the past two months or so, if you’re interested!
Oh and a small music recommendation, give The Heyday a listen. I received their CD to review (will do by the end of this week), and I’ve really gotten into them after a few listens. Very likable pop music.
