1179 metres elevation gain. Shit hike! One of the hardest physical challenges I've experienced. Began with a pretty hard climb up Memuruskaret, but it was 80% of the remaining 15 km on old and rotten snow that did it. Like walking in quicksand, and trail markers often hidden forced you to constantly search for the right path. Weather changed around lunch time, and the rain and fog didn't let up for the next two days.
